Consumer-reported difficulties obtaining the rebates has led to an investigation by the Florida Attorney General and a failure to maintain a satisfactory BBB rating.TigerDirect HistoryIt was founded by Gilbert Fiorentino, Carl Fiorentino and Daniel Brown in 1987 as Tiger Software, a publisher of titles for both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh. Some of the titles published by TigerSoftware included The Typewriter, and PopDrop. Bloc Development was also the parent company of SoftSync (founded and directed by Ken and Sue Currier), former publisher of the Macintosh accounting software "Accountant Inc." and Bloc Publishing (headed by Gilbert Fiorentino). It was later spun off as "Tiger Direct" (NASDAQ:TIGR), and in 1996, it changed its public representation to Systemax (NYSE: SYX).TigerDirectTigerDirect evolved from TigerSoftware when the company began selling build-it-yourself PC kits and inexpensive computers, using manufacturers in the United States and Canada to build its custom desktop and notebook configurations. TigerDirect.com was launched in the late 1990s, selling computer and electronics, books and software. Although TigerDirect had registered several tiger-related names with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Apple received trademark approval for version 10.4 (Tiger) of its OS X operating system in 2003. Tiger Direct registered opposition against Apple's filing with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and on May 13, 2005, Apple won an emergency hearing. As of 2003, it has more than 6,000 stores in the USA and reported net sales and operating revenues of $2.24 billion. RadioShack briefly reopened stores in Canada after losing its former subsidiary InterTAN (independent since 1986) to a purchase by Circuit City in 2004. However, in December 2006, RadioShack Canada announced it would be closing its nine corporate stores to focus on strengthening its core business in the US. The head office of RadioShack is located in Fort Worth, Texas. RadioShack is also a sponsor for the Samsung/RadioShack 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.RadioShack's current proprietary brands besides RadioShack branded products include Accurian (audio and video equipment and accessories), Enercell (batteries and power accessories), Gigaware (personal computer accessories), Kronus (tools), MyMusix (MP3 players), Optimus (formerly audio and PA/DJ equipment, now used for digital cameras), Presidian (audio and video equipment, telephones, flashlights, calculators, and 2-way radios), VoiceStar (wireless phone accessories). Discontinued brands include Archer (wiring and antennas), Duofone (telephones & accessories), Micronta (scientific and educational equipment) and Realistic (sound equipment).RadioShack HistoryRadioShack - The first 40 yearsThe company was started as Radio Shack in 1921 in Boston, Massachusetts, by two brothers, Theodore and Milton Deutschmann who wanted to provide equipment for the cutting-edge field of amateur, or ham, radio. Theodore and Milton Deutschmann opened a one-store retail and mail-order operation in the heart of downtown Boston on Brattle Street, near the site of the Boston Massacre. They chose the name "Radio Shack," which was a term for the small, wooden structure that housed a ship's radio equipment. The Deutschmanns thought the name was appropriate for a store that would supply the needs of radio officers aboard ships, as well as "ham" radio operators. The company issued its first catalog in the early 1940s and then entered the high-fidelity music market. In 1954, Radio Shack began selling its own private-label products under the brand name Realist, but was subsequently sued and consequently changed the brand name to Realistic. After expanding to nine stores plus an extensive mail-order business, the company fell on hard times in the 1960s. Radio Shack was essentially bankrupt, but Charles Tandy saw the potential of Radio Shack and retail consumer electronics and bought the company for $300,000.Tandy CorporationMain article: Tandy Corporation Radio Shack's old logo, used from 1974 to 1995.In 1963, Radio Shack was purchased by the Tandy Corporation, which was originally a leather goods corporation, and renamed Tandy Radio Shack & leather. Tandy eventually divested itself of its non-electronic product lines.Tandy (through InterTAN) also operated a chain similar to RadioShack in the UK under the "Tandy" name from the 1970s until the late 1990s. The stores were sold to Carphone Warehouse in 1999, and over the next few years were converted to that format, or sold off.Tandy entered the Australian market in 1973. In 2001 Woolworths Limited acquired the Australian operations and merged them with their Dick Smith Electronics business.During the 1960s through the 1980s, Radio Shack marketed its free battery card; a wallet-sized cardboard card, free, which entitled the bearer to free batteries when presented at one of their stores. The bearer was limited to one a month, although many customers would frequent several stores with several cards every month. These cards also served as generic business cards for the salespeople in the 1980s; the "battery club" card was still used until the company-wide changes in the early 1990s.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RadioshackGet Radioshack Coupons Savings and cash back, click the link above.

Sears Coupons
http://www.EscapeTheCycle.comSears CouponsGet Sears Coupons savings and cash back, click the link above.Sears, Roebuck and Company, commonly known as Sears, is an American mid-range chain of international department stores, founded by Richard Warren Sears and Alvah Roebuck in the late 19th century. It operates in Canada under Sears Canada, Mexico under Sears Mexico and Guatemala under Homemart, S.A. From its mail order beginnings, the company grew to become the largest retailer in the United States by the mid-20th century, and its catalogs became famous. Competition and changes in the demographics of its customer base challenged the company after World War II as its rural and inner city strongholds shrank and the suburban markets grew. Eventually its catalog program was largely discontinued. Sears, a former component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, merged with Kmart in early 2005, creating the Sears Holdings Corporation. The largest Sears store in the world, operated by Sears Canada, is 817,850 square feet (75,981 m2), in the Toronto Eaton Centre. The largest American store is located near the Sears headquarters at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. It has 416,000 square feet (38,600 m2) of retail space. The second largest Sears store in the USA is located at the former Livonia Mall in Livonia, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.Sears History The exterior of the Sears Merchandise Building Tower. In 1886, the United States had thirty-eight states in the Union. Many people lived in rural areas and relied on agriculture. For many Americans, a single general store was their source of supplies. Merchandise went through many wholesalers on the way to the retail outlet, not an inexpensive method of handling. Many general stores received their shipments of merchandise through the growing network of railroads.Richard Sears and a shipment of watchesRichard Warren Sears was a railroad station agent in North Redwood, Minnesota when he received a nice shipment of watches from a Chicago jeweler which were unwanted by a local jeweler. Sears purchased them himself, sold the watches at a nice profit to other station agents up and down the line, and then ordered more for resale. Soon he started a business selling watches through mail order catalogs. The next year, he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he met Alvah C. Roebuck, who joined him in the business. In 1893, the corporate business name became Sears, Roebuck and Co.Sears Competing with general stores through mail order catalogRichard Sears knew that farmers often brought their crops to town, where they could be sold and shipped. Before the Sears catalog, farmers typically bought supplies (often at very high prices) from local general stores. Sears took advantage of this by publishing his catalog with clearly stated prices, so that consumers could know what he was selling and at what price, and order and obtain them conveniently. The catalog business grew quickly. By 1894, the Sears catalog had grown to 322 pages, featuring sewing machines, bicycles, sporting goods, automobiles (produced from 1905-1915 by Lincoln Motor Car Works of Chicago) and a host of other new items.Organizing the company so it could handle orders on an economical and efficient basis, Chicago clothing manufacturer Julius Rosenwald became a part-owner in 1895. Alvah Roebuck had to resign soon after due to ill-health, but the company still retained his name. By the following year, dolls, refrigerators, stoves and groceries had been added to the catalog.Sears, Roebuck and Co. soon developed a reputation for both quality products and customer satisfaction. By 1895, the company was producing a 532-page catalog with the largest variety of items that anybody back then could have thought of. "In 1893, the sales topped 400,000 dollars. Two years later they exceeded 750,000 dollars."In 1906 Sears opened its catalog plant which included the original Sears Tower pictured on this page.In the early 20th century, Sears dealt the graphophones and records produced by Columbia Records under the trademark "Oxford".Sears catalog homesMain article: Sears Catalog HomePeople had learned to trust Sears for other products bought mail-order, and thus, sight unseen. This service was extended to America Online in the 1990s.Travelocity was created in 1996 as a subsidiary of Sabre Holdings, itself a subsidiary of American Airlines, and was run by long-time Sabre I.T. executive Terrell B. "Terry" Jones. As one of the pioneers of web-based disintermediation, Travelocity.com was the first website that allowed consumers themselves not only to access Sabre's fare and schedule information, but also to reserve, book, and purchase tickets without the help of a travel agent or broker. In addition to airfares, the site also permits consumers to book hotel rooms, rental cars, cruises and packaged vacations.Travelocity gained momentum after the AOL keyword Travel became associated with the brand in 1999. In 2000, Sabre negotiated a merger of Travelocity with another early web travel company, Preview Travel. Site59's CEO and founder, Michelle Peluso joined Travelocity with the acquisition as senior vice president, product strategy and distribution. In 1962, he started his first department store, Kohl's Department Store, in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Linens N Things Coupons
http://www.EscapeTheCycle.comLinens N Things CouponsGet Linens N Things Coupons savings and cash back, click the link above.Linens 'n Things, Inc., headquartered in Clifton, New Jersey, is the largest big box retailer of home textiles, housewares and decorative home accessories in the United States, and the second largest in Canada. The chain operates 571 stores in 47 states and six Canadian provinces, and had 7,300 employees as of December 2006.The company's business strategy is "to offer a broad selection of high quality, brand name home furnishings merchandise at exceptional everyday values, provide superior guest service, and maintain low operating costs."Linens N Things Acquisition and troubleThe company was acquired in February 2006 by Apollo Management, a private equity limited partnership, for $1.3 billion. As a part of the transition from a public company to the private-owned business, the position of CEO went from Norman Axelrod to Robert (Bob) DiNicola; alongside of him were several executives such as F. David Coder who is Executive Vice President and Omer Fancy who is the executive Vice President of Marketing.According to Form 10-Q filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the quarterly period ended September 29, 2007, Linens Holding Co. and subsidiaries (including Linens 'n Things, Inc. acquired in February 2006 for cash of approximately $1.3 billion) reported net sales of $666.8 million, versus $658.2 million in the year-earlier period. The increase in net sales was primarily due to the opening of new stores since Sept. 30, 2006 offset by the impact of a decline in comparable store sales. The decline in comparable store sales was primarily due to a decline in customer transactions partially offset by an increase in average transaction value. The operating loss (after a charge of $16.8 million for impairment of property and equipment in the more recent quarter) was $56.6 million against a loss of $17.9 million a year ago. After net interest expense and other income & expense, the loss before income taxes was $79.2 million compared to a loss of $41.7 million. After provision/benefit for income taxes, Linens Holdings reported a net loss of $79.9 million versus a net loss of $27.4 million. On April 17, 2008 the New York Post reported that the company was seeking to sell its highly profitable Canadian Division, but no one at Linens 'n Things would confirm nor deny this, saying only that an adviser had been hired to explore strategic alternatives. On May 2, 2008, Linens 'n Things filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closed 120 stores. In August 2008, Linens 'n Things devised a plan to emerge from bankruptcy early in 2009. Under the plan, the retailer will reverse many of the strategies introduced after the company was bought by Leon Black. Chief among those tactics was a shift to splashy clearance sales and product promotions. Current management plans to return Linens 'n Things to an "everyday, low price" model it had pursued during its earlier years as a public company. It also will focus on improving the quality of its merchandise and keeping shelves stocked in timely fashion, the paper said.Get Linens N Things Coupons savings and cash back, click the link above.

Nutrisystem Discount Code
http://www.EscapeTheCycle.comNutrisystem Discount CodeGet Nutrisystem Discount Code savings and cash back, click the link above.NutriSystem Nourish Diet plan is a "send you the food" diet plan operated by NutriSystem, Inc.(NASDAQ: NTRI) of Horsham, Pennsylvania. The NutriSystem Diet is based on the Glycemic Index of Carbohydrates. By combining exercise, and frequent smaller portioned meals, the glycemic index diet is supposed to reduce hunger (due to a constant blood glucose). There is some support for weight loss and health benefits of low glycemic-index diets in controlled scientific studies, however, some other studies have suggested there is no long-term benefit to these diets. It was founded by Stacie Mullen, a television personality, in 1991 when the company was going to produce 20 breakfasts, lunches, dinners, desserts, and snacks. The company started out in 1972 selling a liquid protein diet, which it abandoned in 1978 due to the growth of competition. It then started selling food which was packaged and preserved in portion controlled packages, to take the decisions out of dining. The company went bankrupt in the early 1990's and closed down its weight-loss centers. It reemerged in 1999 as an internet advertiser, and a publicly traded company, with the meals shipped to consumers. CEO Michael Hagen shifted advertising to TV, using satisfied customers in ads. Clients can call, email or chat online with the weight loss counselors for advice or support. The average customer stays on the program 10 weeks. Many regain the weight lost.Current TV ads feature former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino as the lead spokesperson, also featuring other well-known celebrities who have purportedly lost weight using the company's products.NutriSystem, Inc. has been helping America get thin and healthy for the past 35 years. Through its comprehensive weight loss program, NutriSystem developed into a leader in the weight loss industry, and became a publicly traded company in October of 1999 (NASDAQ: NTRI). In that same year, in conjunction with its network marketing division of nationwide consultants and direct sales, known as NutriSystem Direct, the company launched its innovative website — www.nutrisystem.com — and paved the way for a new breed of weight loss company. Live counseling, both online and via telephone, replaced traditional customer visits to brick-and-mortar centers, and created a new and extremely private way for people to deal with oftentimes difficult weight loss issues. Additionally, by way of online ordering, NutriSystem could now deliver its quality food and meal programs directly to consumer doorsteps, providing them with a convenient and streamlined way to learn better eating habits and lose weight. Clients just log-on, decide on a recommended meal plan, order their food, and once it arrives, they're ready to go. NutriSystem also offers vitamins and dietary supplements to clients, to ensure that their customers receive proper nutrition while focusing on weight loss. With the addition of an exclusive contract with the QVC network in 2001, NutriSystem earned an even larger presence within the weight loss industry, and now boasts superior earnings and increased brand awareness through this favorable affiliation. NutriSystem now stands as a constant pillar of support and information for those looking to lose weight in a busy world. As an Internet force, its wide-ranging web content, combined with its knowledgeable and well-trained counselors, equals a powerful resource for all dieting consumers. And it's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no waiting for weekly meetings or worry about expensive membership fees. NutriSystem believes in its clients and is there to help them, every step of the way. Together with its growing online member community, NutriSystem makes weight loss — and the goal of becoming healthy and fit — a reality for millions.Get Nutrisystem Discount Code savings and cash back, click the link above.

This laid important groundwork for supplying a home, possibly the largest single purchase a typical family would ever make. In 1908, the company began offering entire houses as kits, marketed as Sears Modern Homes, and by the time the program ended in 1940, over 100,000 had been sold.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SearsGet Sears Coupon savings and cash back, click the link above.

LensCrafters was formed in 1983 and has subsequently expanded to over 850 stores in Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico. The stores usually feature independent optometrists on-site (or in adjacent store), and are well known for their quick in-store turnaround, allowing for customers to walk in, obtain an eyeglass prescription, select frames, and have their glasses made during a single visit, with about a one-hour wait for construction. They maintain corporate headquarters near Cincinnati, Ohio, along with Sunglass Hut International; but, in fact, both firms are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Italian-based Luxottica. Luxottica also owns Pearle, Target Optical, JCPenney Optical, Sears Optical and EyeMed Vision Care.Lenscrafters was the brain child of E. Dean Butler in 1983, a manager with Procter & Gamble. Mr Butler sold Lenscrafters to the U.S.Shoe Co in 1985 and remained as President until 1987. Bannus(Ban) Hudson replaced Mr. Butler as President and guided Lenscrafters through 1990. Mr Hudson became the CEO of US Shoe in 1990 and Dave Browne became the CEO of Lenscrafters.Get Lenscrafters + Coupon Code savings and cash back, click the link above.

BAGARRE... BALADE... DANS LE TRAM DE LISBONNE AVEC GIORGIO
Transportation in Lisbon is more charming than in most cities. Much is owed to its geography; much of Lisbon has been built on its seven hills. No visit to Lisbon is complete without riding the 1930s trams. The greatest attractions, though, are the funiculars, of which there are three. These are Elevador da Glória, Elevador da Bica, and Elevador da Lavra.
